About Go Do
What is Go Do?
Go Do is a free app and website that finds everything there is to do in Utah — concerts, games, festivals, shows, classes, community events and outdoor adventures — and puts it all in one place. Then it makes it easy to make plans with your friends and actually go.
How it all started
Go Do started with date night. Every week our founder sat down to plan something fun to do with his wife, and every week it turned into the same thing: hours and hours of searching the web. One site for concerts, another for theater, a city calendar here, a ticket site there, a Facebook event someone mentioned, a festival he heard about too late.
The information was all out there — it was just scattered across dozens of websites, and none of them showed everything happening in one place. By the time he had pieced together a plan, the evening was half gone, and the best events were often ones he only found out about after they were over.
So he set out to build the thing he wished existed: one place that automatically gathers every event and activity in Utah into a single feed and makes it simple to pick something and go. That idea became Go Do.
Who’s behind Go Do

Go Do is built in Provo, Utah, by its founder, JR Cook — the husband from the date-night story above. He started Go Do in 2016 and brought it back in 2026 to do what he always wanted it to do: put everything to do in Utah all in one place and make it easy to go with friends.

Our premise: get out and live life
Go Do exists to get people out of the house and doing things in real life. Too many evenings and weekends disappear into sitting at home, being bored, and doom scrolling — living in a virtual world instead of the real one right outside the door.
Utah is full of amazing things to do: live music, pro and college sports, theater, festivals, farmers markets, art walks, trails, lakes, slopes and national parks. The hard part has never been a lack of things to do. It's knowing what's happening, and getting your people together to go.
That's what Go Do is for. We use technology to help you find amazing things to do around you, make the plan with your friends, and then get out and make actual memories together. Our tagline says it all: Go Do. Live Life.

Make plans with friends
Tap Go Do to make a plan: ping friends (“Should we go?”), or invite friends and groups to a day — or a few days to pick from — and see what your friends are going to. Plans show up on everyone’s Plans so nobody forgets.
Plan your own get-togethers
Sunday dinner, game night, lunch with friends: plan it once, or have it repeat every week, 2 weeks, month or 3 months. Friends can say they’re in for all of them.
Follow what you love
Tap ♥ to follow an event or activity, everything at a venue, or your team’s games. They collect in your Following tab. Go Do lets you know about new ones, and reminds you the day before an event you ♥.
Chat and share
Message friends and groups, start a chat for a plan, add people to a chat, share events and photos, post from what you did, tag friends and react to messages.
Plan the whole night
From any event, find restaurants nearby, get a ride, look for places to stay, and get directions — so date night or a weekend trip comes together fast.

Is Go Do free?
Yes. Go Do is completely free for everyone who uses it to find things to do and make plans.
Where does Go Do get its events?
Go Do automatically reads public calendars from venues, cities, counties, schools, libraries and teams across Utah, plus the major ticket sellers, and partners can send their events to us directly. Members can add events too.
Is there a Go Do app for iPhone and Android?
Go Do works on any phone today. It isn't in the App Store or Google Play yet, but you can add it to your Home Screen in a few seconds and it works just like an app. See How to Install.
What parts of Utah does Go Do cover?
All of Utah — every county, from Logan to St. George, including Salt Lake City, Utah County, Ogden, Park City, Moab and southern Utah.
Can I add my own event?
Yes. Members can add public events and activities for everyone, or friends-only events. Organizations can become partners and send their events automatically, or add them in the Partner portal. See Data Feed.
Can I use Go Do with ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity or another AI assistant to your Go Do account and ask what’s happening, check your plans and invites, or have it make plans with friends when you ask. See AI Agents.
Who can advertise on Go Do?
Local businesses, venues and event organizers can sign up as advertisers and run clearly labeled sponsored cards and sponsor their events through the Go Do Advertiser portal.
