Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Go Do - Live Life, LLC (“Go Do,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use the Go Do app and website at go-do.live, including the Business portal, the Partners portal and our connections for AI assistants (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: email address, password (stored in scrambled form we can’t read), name, username, city, and optional bio and profile photo. If you set up a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID or similar), we store only its public key.
- Sign in with Apple or Google: if you use one of these to sign in, Apple or Google tells us your email address and, if you allow it, your name. Apple’s “Hide My Email” gives us a private relay address instead of your real one. If you sign in with Apple in our iPhone app, we also keep a token from Apple, used only to disconnect Go Do from your Apple ID when you delete your account.
- Content you create: posts, photos and videos (with their sound), comments, likes, reactions, chat messages, reviews, ratings, events and activities you add, groups, invites and pings, and reports you send us.
- Plans and preferences: events and activities you mark Going, Maybe or Can’t go, things you follow, hide or save, your interests, and your settings.
- Advertiser and partner information: if you use the Advertiser or Partners portal, your organization’s name, website, contact details, campaigns, ad content, calendar links and the events you send us.
- Birthday and gender: your birthday, which you give when you sign up, and your gender if you choose to share it. These are private: they are never shown on your profile or to other members. We use them to confirm you are old enough to use Go Do, keep content age-appropriate, and show ads and sponsored listings that a business has aimed at an age group or gender. You can change them any time in Edit Profile.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information: the days you open Go Do and roughly how much time you spend in it; which listings are viewed, opened and shared (counted in daily totals); sponsored cards and sponsored listings shown to you and tapped; and outside links you tap from a listing, such as tickets, restaurants, rides (Uber, Lyft), places to stay and directions — which partner you went to, not what you buy.
- Activity used for your suggestions: when you’re signed in, the listings you open, the links you tap from them (tickets, websites, directions, rides), what you search for, which listings were shown to you in Suggested, and which of those you made plans for. This is linked to your account and is private to you: no other member, advertiser or partner can see it. We use it only to personalize your suggestions and, as totals, to measure how well suggestions work. It is deleted after one year, or right away if you delete your account.
- Location: if you allow it, your device’s location is used on your device to sort things by distance. It is not saved to your account.
- Camera, microphone and photos: in the phone app, only when you choose to take or add a photo or video. Videos you record include sound. When you save a picture or story card, the app adds it to your photos; it doesn’t read your photo library for anything else.
- Contacts (Find friends): only if you tap Find friends from contacts and allow access. Your contacts’ names, emails and phone numbers stay on your phone. The app turns each email address and phone number into a one-way code (a hash) and sends only those codes to our server, which checks them against members’ own sign-in emails and phone numbers and returns the members who allow being found. We don’t keep the codes or anything else about your contacts, and we never message them. When you tap Invite, your phone’s own Messages app opens; we don’t see who you send it to. You can stop others finding you this way in Settings › Privacy.
- Calendar: when you add a plan to your phone’s calendar, your phone shows its own add-event screen; we don’t read your calendar.
- Device and technical information: browser or device type, and a push notification subscription or device push token if you turn notifications on. We store your sign-in session in your browser or device so you stay logged in.
2. How we use information
- To run the Service: show you listings, save your plans, connect you with friends and groups, deliver messages and notifications.
- To keep Go Do safe: review reported content, enforce our Terms, and prevent abuse, fraud and spam.
- To personalize your suggestions. Your Suggested feed learns what you like from your interests, the plans you make (Going and Maybe), what you follow, save, hide or mark “Suggest less like this,” and the activity described above — including the days, times, price range and distances you tend to choose. This happens to make Go Do more useful to you, not to build a profile we share or sell.
- To suggest what members like you are going to. We look at plans and follows across many members together to find listings that people with tastes similar to yours are going to. These suggestions only ever show a listing, never who is going; a listing is suggested this way only when several members are going; and private plans and get-togethers are never used.
- To understand and improve Go Do, using usage reports and totals.
- To give advertisers and partners reports about how their ads and events perform — always as totals, never who you are.
- To send you account emails (such as password-reset codes) and messages about the Service.
We do not sell your personal information. Advertisers can aim their sponsored cards and sponsored events at an area, interests, an age range or a gender; Go Do does the matching inside our own systems, and advertisers only ever see totals — like how many people saw or tapped their ad — never who you are. If you haven’t shared your gender or birthday, you only see sponsored content aimed at everyone.
3. What other people can see
- Other members can see your name, username, city and profile photo.
- Friends can see your plans (you can turn this off in Settings › Privacy), your friends-only posts, and events you post for friends.
- Everyone can see totals like “12 going,” your public posts and photos, public events you add, and your reviews.
- Chats are visible only to the people in them. Your email address is never shown to other members.
- People you block can’t find you, message you, ping you or add you to groups.
4. How we share information
- Service providers that run Go Do for us and may only use information to provide their services: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage), GitHub (website hosting), Google (sending account emails), Expo (building our phone apps and delivering their notifications), browser and phone push services from Apple, Google and Mozilla (delivering notifications), and Apple and Google (Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, if you use them).
- AI assistants you connect: if you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, it can see what your Go Do account can see, and make changes only if you allowed it. That provider’s own privacy policy applies to what it receives. You can disconnect any assistant at any time.
- Sites you choose to visit: when you tap a link to tickets, rides, restaurants, places to stay or maps, that company’s privacy policy applies. Go Do may earn a commission from some partners; it never changes the price you pay.
- Advertisers and partners receive only totals, such as views, taps and click-through rates — never your name, birthday, gender or anything that identifies you.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Go Do, our members or others.
- Business transfers: if Go Do is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
5. Where listings come from
Events come from public calendars, ticketing sites, our partners and members. Activities come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and Overture Maps, and details such as hours, phone numbers, prices and descriptions may come from their own public websites and from Wikipedia (credited where shown). Some photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash.
6. Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from More › Delete My Account in the Go Do app, or on the website: log in at go-do.live, open More and tap Delete My Account at the bottom. If you can’t log in, ask us through Contact Us and we’ll delete it for you. Deleting your account immediately deletes your profile, plans, friends, groups you own, messages, posts, photos and videos, reviews and the activity used for your suggestions. If you signed in with Apple in our iPhone app, it also disconnects Go Do from your Apple ID. Usage totals and click records that are no longer linked to you may be kept for reporting. Backups are overwritten on a regular schedule.
7. Your choices and rights
- Deleting some of your data without deleting your account: delete any post you shared (and its photos and videos) from the post’s ⋯ menu › Delete post, and your comments from the comments screen. Clear the activity used for your suggestions in Settings › Privacy › Clear my suggestion history. For anything else (a message, a review, your birthday or gender), ask us through Contact Us and we will delete it. What you delete is removed right away; backups are overwritten on a regular schedule.
- Edit your profile and privacy settings in the app at any time.
- Turn push notifications, location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts and calendar access on or off in your device or browser settings.
- Change your interests in Settings › Preferences, and undo hidden items and “Suggest less like this” choices in Settings. You can also delete the activity used for your suggestions any time, without deleting your account, in Settings › Privacy › Clear my suggestion history.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, using Contact Us below. Depending on where you live (including under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them as the law requires.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls on every table of our database, and scrambled passwords to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password or a passkey.
9. Children
Go Do is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and let you know in the app if the changes are significant.
11. Contact us
Questions or requests about your privacy? Use Contact Us or More › Report a Problem in the app.
