4:00-5:00pm 3780 WEB Title: Co-designing Graph Algorithms to Enable Applications in Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence Abstract: Combinatorial and graph algorithms play an important enabling role in numerous scientific computing applications. In this presentation, we will explore two case studies on co-designing combinatorial algorithms to enable quantum computing and efficient learning on graphs. Building from a theoretical palette sparsification theorem published in 2019, we developed an efficient clique partitioning method (Picasso) to help prepare data on a classical system t
